Day 1: Airport EBB – Arrival at Entebbe

You will be warmly received and transferred to the hotel for overnight rest. Lodge in Entebbe: Lake Victoria View Guest House (BB) or The Boma (BB)

 Day 2: From Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park (350km, 6 hrs)

You will be picked up from the hotel. We drive westwards through the green hills, local farms and tea plantations. We will have a stop in Fort Portal town for a lunch buffet of local food or a La Carte. We then transfer to the lodge and relax. As night falls, we enter the jungle to see the illusive nocturnal primates like bush babies (optional). Kibale national park is a tropical rain forest with a high number of primates. Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp

After an early breakfast, we start with a briefing about the park. Enter the Kibale forest for the Gorilla chimpanzee tracking jungle walk along the trails. Exploring the jungle is easy in the company of excellent local guides. The guides explain the life of the chimps, life in the forest. The primates you will  see include the Gray Cheeked Mangabeys, Olive Baboon, Red-tailed Monkey, L’ Hoerst Monkey, Red colobus and Black and White Colobus. The highlight is an encounter with the Chimpanzees in the trees or on the ground. Return to the lodge for lunch and to relax. In the afternoon if you have energy, take a nature walk for more primates in the nearby Bigodi community swamp. The Swamp has a similar ecosystem. Day 4: Kibale forest to Queen Elizabeth National Park through crater lakes (130km, 4 hrs)

Wake up to a hearty breakfast and views of the forest. We leisurely drive southwards through the scenic crater lakes region. Have a stop at the Equator for photos, we then continue to Queen Elizabeth national park. Queen Elizabeth national Park is open savannah, rain forests and crater lakes. Check in at the lodge and relax for lunch to sounds and sights of the wilderness. In the afternoon, we do a relaxing nature walk in the Maramagambo jungle. This area is known for its primates and caves with have Python snakes that feed on the bats. Return for dinner and relax. Queen Elizabeth accommodation: The Twin Lakes Lodge (FB) or the Katara Lodge (FB)

Day 5: Enter the Kyambura Gorge in the Rift Valley

Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, we then transfer to Kyambura gorge. this is one of Uganda’s jungles in the Rift valley. After the briefing, we enter the forested gorge to track the Gorilla chimpanzee and other primates. An encounter with groups of primates socializing on the ground or quietly feeding in the trees is an unforgettable experience. Return to the Lodge and relax, or have a sunset game drive. Have dinner and a cozy night.  Queen Elizabeth accommodation: The Twin Lakes Lodge (FB) or the Katara Lodge (FB)

Day 6: To Bwindi 155 km / 200 km 5 hours

We relax to a sumptuous breakfast and then drive south to Bwindi Impenetrable. On our way we pass through landscapes and mountains with breath taking views. Bwindi Impenetrable is a unique montane forest, with many wildlife species and birds. This jungle is one of the 2 places in the world where you find the endangered Mountain Gorillas!! Bwindi forest Lodge: Gorilla Mist Camp (FB) or the Mahogany Springs Lodge (FB)

Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable forest on the trails Gorilla trekking!!!

We set off into the forest after breakfast and a briefing. The Gorilla trek climaxes after an encounter with a family of the Gorillas!! You will have an hour with them for an experience that will last a life time. Bwindi forest Lodge: Gorilla Mist Camp (FB) or the Mahogany Springs Lodge (FB)

Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable forest to Entebbe about 8 hours

Early morning after a heavy breakfast, transfer leisurely through the countryside by road or catch the domestic flight* to Entebbe for your outbound flight. End
